T-shirt quilts

Several months ago I was asked if I could make a t-shirt quilt for a friend who lost her husband a couple of years ago. She showed up with a laundry basket full of t-shirts. She wanted a Queen size quilt but lives in Florida so we didn't want it to be too heavy. We went through the t-shirts to prioritize the ones she really wanted in the main quilt and said I could do what I wanted with the rest and the quilt pattern was totally up to me.  Well not only did we end up with what turned out to be more like a King size quilt but 2 lap quilts and a pillow! I used every t-shirt including any logos or images that were on the sleeves or pockets.  I used the lightest batting I could find and I'm so happy with how they came out!!!   The pictures aren't the best but I did the best I could with all of the rainy days we've been having and they needed to make their way to Florida this week. So here we are, the last several months of sewing.

Black Clover Halloween

This week was all about Halloween and Trick or Treat. This is the newest member of the Black Bulls. We both absolutely love how this turned out! Next week we should get back on track with new pattern releases. For the cape I used the Simplicity 5840 pattern A. I just used the caplet and hood. I did cut the cape about 4" larger around the edge and added a small, long triangular piece to one of the top edges so I could offset the opening to match the way the Black Bulls wear it and there was plenty of room to go over her head. Dressed up for our Girl Scout Halloween Party Almost done! Just needs the button and Black Bulls insignia Grimoire pouch Insignia added. My Cricut cut off the outer border for the larger bull and I didn't have enough of the antique gold to do another. So we just went with it this way.

Honey Junior

Everybody loves Minecraft and this bee is just the cutest!!! Designed as a birthday present for someone special. I made it into a pillow with a zipper and pocket. I just love how it turned out!!! Lattice baby quilt

I absolutely LOVE how this baby quilt turned out 💗. The top is flannel and the backing is a supper soft butter yellow fleece.  Now I almost want to make a larger one for myself! Pattern and instructions are from Diary of a Quilter (https://www.diaryofaquilter.com/lattice-baby-quilt-tutorial/) Love it on my grandmother's rocking chair!!! I made a little tag blanket to go along with it using minky that I had left from another project. All cut and ready to assemble. Loving how these two fabrics look together! So far so good! Ready to square up and add borders Borders on. LOVE it!!!
