Year in review and WIP

Well for about a year now I've been really into cross stitching.  I've finished a few smaller projects but this monster is my current WIP. It was started June 8, 2025 and is currently 30% complete.  81,976 stitches complete - 191,302 stitches to go                                      This is what the finished project will look like. Projected finish is early October 2026. Year in review Zelda - 67540 stitches I haven't decided what I'm doing with this one yet.

Adventures In Raw Edge Applique

So I tried something new, raw edge applique. In hindsight I should have started with a more simple pattern. But I loved this pattern and knew my daughter would absolutely love it. Here is a link to the first video in the series https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7iigK0KV3-w

I loved learning this technique and will incorporate it in some projects in the future. Lisa is amazing at explaining different ways to implement this technique. I highly recommend checking out her channel!

Rainbow TARDIS - Road Trip Project

What do you do on a long road trip when you're a passenger?  I decided to take up cross stitching which I haven't done in a very, very long time.  I tried taking a photo each day of my progress but I did miss one day during our travels.  This took me a total of 41 days to complete.  Now I just need to decide what I'm going to do with it! Pattern is by Alice Alan and purchased at AICrossStitch on Etsy. 14 count Aida cloth using DMC floss 21,861 stitches
