New sewing project and other stitchy updates and a finish!

I really wanted a cute project bag to take on vacation. My mom gave me the main fabric years ago. It was leftover from a pillow blanket she made many years ago. I had the perfect fabric to go with it and off I went.  I made the large bag, a small zipper pouch, thread catcher, project mat and wrist keychain (not pictured).  Tangled progress. This is at  72.16% complete. That's 197,210 stitches down 76,070 stitches to go And I have a finish!  My travel project is complete! My Stained Glass Purple Rose is complete. It has been on several adventures but finally it's done.  This is 27,783 stitches. Started 13 Jun 2025 and finished 13 July 2026.

Finishing projects

 Here are a couple of projects I finished in the last week or so. A chandelier style pattern as a wall hanging to put in my almost complete dining room.  It's going to look amazing!! This started life as a butterfly using 2" squares but I wasn't loving it. So I had a date with Jack and took it apart and started over. So glad I did. Love how this turned out!!

I also finished this block from LOTR. I added to the top of it to have room for the quote which I added using HTV. It says "Not all those who wander are lost".  Not sure yet where it's going to go but I'm happy it's complete!

Adventures In Raw Edge Applique

So I tried something new, raw edge applique. In hindsight I should have started with a more simple pattern. But I loved this pattern and knew my daughter would absolutely love it.
