Rainbow TARDIS - Road Trip Project

What do you do on a long road trip when you're a passenger?  I decided to take up cross stitching which I haven't done in a very, very long time.  I tried taking a photo each day of my progress but I did miss one day during our travels.  This took me a total of 41 days to complete.  Now I just need to decide what I'm going to do with it! Pattern is by Alice Alan and purchased at AICrossStitch on Etsy. 14 count Aida cloth using DMC floss 21,861 stitches

2023 Goals

Here are my sewing / quilting goals to start 2023.  My main focus is to do things that make me happy. This year I am beyond excited for Doctor Who's 60th Anniversary.  So top of my list is to make my Silence In The Library Doctor Who quilt. For this pattern and so many more see  http://www.fandominstitches.com/2011/05/doctor-who.html.  I'm still working out some of the blocks that will go in the library. I have so many ideas of things I want to use to represent some of my favorite doctors, companions and episodes!  My goal is to have it completed before the 60th Anniversary episodes air in November.

There are more blocks I have in mind that I want to design as well. Including The Owl House, more My Hero Academia and Bad Batch. Maybe add in patterns for Black Clover and Hunter x Hunter. And those are just the very tip of the iceberg!

Here are a few other goals I would like to accomplish in 2023:

  • Silence In the Library Doctor Who 60th Anniversary quilt
  • Doctor Who Doctor / Companion blocks by Jeannie Payment. So many more I want to make! (http://www.fandominstitches.com/2011/05/doctor-who.html)
  • Better fabric storage solutions
  • Butterfly charm blocks (15 so far), what shall I do with them  COMPLETE
  • Labyrinth quilt WIP
  • Doctor Who quilt WIP
  • Random test blocks -- What to do with them
  • 10 untested patterns left over from 2022 (9 to go). If you are interested in testing any of these blocks let me know and I would be happy to send you a link to the pattern. If you are a Fandominstitches.com tester already most of these patterns are on the test spreadsheet.
Here are a few of the blocks I have already designed and completed for my Silence In The Library quilt. All of these patterns can be found on my Doctor Who pattern page

Only 14 more blocks to go!

Live ~ Love ~ Create ~ Sew

An original design I created for my sister's new sewing space. I'm happy to share it with you all for your personal use. Please so not sell my patterns or creations made with the patterns without permission. Because the words are individually pieced you can use them on their own or change the layout anyway you want it.  For my layout I added a 5" x 8" piece of background to the left and right of Live and Love. For Create I added a 5" x 2.5" piece to each end.  I have some photos below that I took as I was laying everything out and deciding on which I liked best.  This can easily be done with scraps from your scrap bin! Enjoy and Happy Sewing!
